Learn how to repair and transform worn or damaged garments using visible mending techniques, with a focus on appliqué and simple sashiko stitching.
 
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how to patch, reinforce, and decorate fabric using reclaimed materials and basic hand-stitching techniques. Whether you’re covering a hole or adding detail to a piece you already love, you’ll learn how to turn repairs into something thoughtful, creative and unique.
 
If you have a garment at home you’d like to work on, feel free to bring it along. Unlined items such as shirts, lightweight jackets, tote bags or denim pieces work especially well for these techniques.
